About Patricia

I came to this powerful therapy unexpectedly through a life journey that required me to develop effective techniques to manage my own anxiety and stress.

During my mid-twenties, I felt lost. I felt pulled in different directions. That’s when I discovered the power of personal work. I started on a journey towards successively better mental health that ultimately changed my life for the better. After starting with traditional therapies to address the release of negative memories and forming new, healthier thinking patterns , I developed techniques that made the process even more accelerated.

As I drew deeper into the benefits of EFT, and.combining these techniques with Tapping women’s groups, I was able to witness significant and measurable improvement in emotional healing. I have since expanded and adapted application of these techniques beyond women toward a broader clientele, and now toward teaching Tapping to mental health practitioners.

I am gratified to do this important healing work. I gain great personal and professional satisfaction from seeing the “aha” moments clients and practitioners frequently experience as these methods and insights touch their lives as deep, meaningful, and lasting experiences.

As a mental health professional myself, if I were to encapsulate the success of this work in a word, it would be renewal. I have witnessed impressive, measurable, enduring renewal with this integrative, multi-pronged therapeutic approach that will not only benefit practitioners themselves but their clients for years to come.

I understand what it’s like to live a life filled with anxiety and stress. During my mid-twenties, I felt lost. I felt pulled in different directions.

That’s when I discovered the power of personal work. I started on a journey towards better mental health that ultimately changed my life for the better.

I started with traditional therapy so  I could release negative memories and develop new thinking patterns. I later discovered techniques to make the process even faster.

Thereafter, I participated in women’s groups where I was able to do healing work, and I loved seeing the “aha” moments that other members had. It felt incredibly meaningful when I could provide insight that would positively impact the life of someone else.

When our group sessions ended, everyone left with a greater sense of purpose in their lives. When they stepped out of the group and back into their lives they knew that they were seen, valued and supported. Even during some difficult circumstances, they were renewed every time.

I knew that I wanted to help even more women to have the same type of empowering experience.

That’s when I started my path to study to become a psychotherapist. But my journey didn’t end there. I also became a certified Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner and trained in Mindfulness.

I’ve tried many therapeutic methods and discovered the most simple and effective approaches, and I’m on a personal mission to share them with other women.

About EFT

What is EFT & How Can it Help You?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)  or Tapping is a set of evidence-based tools, which is backed up by science and proven to help with mind and body balance.

EFT is based on the same meridian points used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments. By tapping on these points, we send a calming signal to the brain to calm the body and mind down.

Whether it’s high stress and anxiety, a traumatic event, or a health challenge, the combination of tapping about the distress and then voice empowering intentions works to release the emotional blocks — of body and mind, thus restoring mind and body’s balance.

EFT is Evidence-Based and Backed Up by Science

The popularity and use of EFT have grown  and scientific research continues to demonstrate its effectiveness to treat anxiety, emotional stress, trauma, and more. In fact, over 275 scientific studies about EFT have been published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals.

You help chiropractic patients feel better all the time. As you know, there’s an emotional aspect to people’s physical ailments that also needs to be addressed

Let’s say you have a client who has been in a major car accident. You’ve been helping to restore her physical health, getting her body in proper alignment.

There could be high stress or emotional trauma from the accident that they haven’t resolved yet. I can help your patients release the negative memories or stress or emotional pain still trapped in their bodies from the accident. This is a common problem I’ve seen and helped people to overcome consistently.

What To Know About EFT

EFT to heal anxiety

Did you know that almost 20% of adults in the U.S. have an anxiety disorder? With anxiety, you might find that worrisome or fearful thought disrupt your daily activities. These thoughts can paralyze you or distract you from enjoying and fully participating in your life. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique is also known as “Tapping”) has been extensively investigated for anxiety in various research and clinical trials. It is a tapping method that can help alleviate physical and emotional distress or pain. One recent study at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6381429/ showed significant decreases following an EFT workshop in anxiety (−40%). Since the EFT techniques access the area of the brain that controls stress, it can help reduce a range of anxiety symptoms, like excessive worry, sleep issues, irritability, feeling restless or weak, and trouble focusing and concentrating. EFT helps re-balance your energy and improve your emotional and mental well-being. Are you curious? Do you want to try and experience the amazing result of EFT Tapping? EFT can be done in a group, individually or, in a workshop with the guidance of an EFT Practitioner.

How Does EFT Help to Reduce Stress?

EFT has been found to be the ultimate stress management tool. A mind-body set of techniques that regulates your emotions, balances out your mindset and brings you peaceful and calm feelings. Group EFT tapping has proven to help reduce cortisol by 43%, thus reducing stress levels dramatically and quickly. EFT is an evidence based set of techniques that powerfully calm the nervous system and reduce stress levels in the body and mind. A consistent practice of EFT has been proven to improve stress levels, and health and wellness. EFT is also effective to treat chronic stress, anxiety, health issues, and lack of motivation. In addition to delivering powerful healing results. Group Tapping is a cost effective way to learn EFT techniques for your own personal use when necessary. Group Tapping is a way to maximize the power of EFT because accompanying other participants in their Tapping, brings gains for each participant. This is called borrowing benefits. Another extraordinary and invaluable benefit of EFT is that you can use this amazing tool on your own at home, as a form of self care.

Benefits of EFT on Food Cravings

Food cravings are often triggered by emotional factors like stress and anxiety. By using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or Tapping to address these underlying emotional issues, we can reduce the intensity and frequency of our cravings, and make healthier choices when it comes to food. To use EFT for food cravings, start by identifying the specific emotion or feeling that’s triggering the craving. Then tap focusing on the feeling in your body. As the tapping releases the energy blockages associated with the emotion, you may notice the intensity of the craving diminishing, and a greater sense of calm and balance in your body and mind. In addition to addressing specific emotions, EFT Tapping can also be used to improve overall well-being and reduce stress levels. By incorporating Tapping into your daily routine, you can create a greater sense of emotional resilience and balance, which can help to reduce the likelihood of food cravings occurring.

The Science Behind EFT Tapping

Clinical trials have demonstrated that tapping on acupuncture points on the body can change DNA expression, and radically reduce stress hormone cortisol. Harvard University conducted 10 year research clinical trials on the acupuncture points on the body, they’ve shown that the stimulation of these points sends a signal to the stress center part of the brain called the amygdala telling it to calm down. And it not only works remarkably fast, but it has the unique ability to update the brain’s learnings. We know by scientific research that 6 hours of EFT on PTSD results in a lack of diagnosis and a reduction of symptoms. Gold Standard Therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EFT are highly comparable at the end of treatment, they get the same outcomes, but the difference is the duration of the treatment is much faster. Because there are now over 275 studies in the past 10 years of clinical trials across different areas, EFT is now considered a solid evidence based therapy.
